An event not to be missed in Cape Town – The Helen Harder Winter Ball

There are a few things that lie dear to my heart and the fight against Cancer is one of them.  You will notice on my sidebar that I state support for the Helen Harder foundation and NPC that focusses on this very thing.

This post is to tell you all about an upcoming fundraising event for the foundation.

At the Helen Harder Foundation, their goal is to provide financial assistance, and to offer inspiration and concrete advice and support for women in need who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, and to continuously raise awareness.

The foundation was originally established to honour the memory of Helen Harder, a courageous young woman who always maintained a positive outlook. As a part of their fundraising and awareness campaign it has become an annual tradition to host a Winter fundraising Ball and the event is coming up in August which is Woman’s Month.

My husband and I will be attending this event and I will be sure to blog about it when we have been.  We are very excited about being able to support such a worthy cause and it would be a crying shame if I didn’t take the time to tell you all about it and say that if you are in Cape Town and can buy yourself and partner some tickets at R350 each or even sponsor a table of 10 for R3500 then I can guarantee that the evening will be an amazing experience for you.

Only three weeks remain until the grand Winter Ball extravaganza.

This year’s Winter Ball will be taking place on Saturday 15 August at the Lord Charles Hotel in Somerset West. The event will start at 18:30 and includes a three-course meal, followed by an auction, which will kick off at 21:00. Some of the items on auction to look forward to: wine, weekends away, photo shoots and much more.

Guests will be kept entertained throughout the night by the Master of Ceremonies and Guest Speaker, Michael Mol, well-known Top Billing presenter, medical doctor, international speaker and business consultant.

What better way to show your support than to dance the night away and socialize with those who share a common passion for this instrumental cause that continues to change lives.

The ticket sales and auction proceeds will go towards the “Packs of Hope”. These are goodie hampers containing various pamper products to help lighten the load for those women fighting breast cancer. The funds will also be used to provide financial support to those struggling to pay medical bills.

The Helen Harder Foundation raises awareness and inspires women to stay updated with their breast exams, and to seek support if diagnosed. They have created a worldwide forum (via Facebook) for individuals fighting breast cancer.

Please use the share links at the bottom of this post to share this event with everybody in your network.
