This morning my Facebook showed me a picture of my daughter Mila and reminded me that 2 years ago my dear Son co-hearsed his then not yet 4-year-old sister in allowing him to “make her fringe look pretty.” Now before you stop and say “But you are a bad mother, why weren’t you there to stop it? Why was your Son allowed to play with Scissors in the first place? Listen, we are all human, none of us perfect. My Son in my opinion and at that age was more than capable of using a pair of scissors and even more capable of understanding that he was actually doing something naughty. My husband was there as was our helper, he just managed like some kids do, to do it on the sly and nobody noticed. Read More
Happy New Year to all of you and if you have forgotten who I am because it’s been so long since I wrote, then I don’t blame you in the least.
Well, today is the day that I officially get my A into G and start blogging again. So because it’s a new year, I decided that my blog needed a little update and that we also desperately needed some great new family pics. You may have seen some of these being used on the blog already and also a few sneak peaks on Facebook & Instagram. Read More
Want to win a Spurt Swimming Apparel Hamper worth R500?
The term “Water Babies” is no fallacy in our home as I am sure the same can be said for most kids, so when Spurt Swimming Apparel contacted me to review some of their products and host a blog giveaway, I jumped at the chance.
So if you don’t know already, Spurt is the leading suppliers of swimming apparel in South Africa. The brand is loved for its innovative patterns and colors and comfortable fit. With an extensive range of accessories and swimming aids for beginners and athletes. This is our review of the product, but if you hang on to the end you can perhaps win your own hamper worth R500!
We are always looking for decent Swimming Caps and Goggles for the kids to use at school during their summer class swimming period, but a lot of them are just poorly made and break quite quickly. We also find that most of the goggles misted up quickly and the caps we tried missed the mark with keeping hair dry and for school use, this is a must for my daughter especially as she has very long thick hair. Well, we tested out the cool caps and goggles plus the little nose pegs and just loved them. No wet hair and no steamed up goggles. The hats fit very snuggly but are not uncomfortable. The goggles were easy to put on for the kids once adjusted to the right size and the reflective lenses of the older kids pairs are absolutely awesome. You can shop for your own Spurt goodies on their online store here.
I snapped some pics of the kids swimming with their gear so you can see how cool they look.
So now for the Giveaway part. There are only three things you need to do to enter this great competition to WIN your own Spurt hamper for your kiddo worth R500. The winner will be drawn by random draw on the 13th of December 2017 and notified by email and on Social Media. T’s & C‘s apply.
